Kelo is a town in the Tandjilé province of southern Chad, in the flat savanna country that stretches between the Sahel to the north and the wetter lands to the south. From above, the town spreads out across level ground, with main roads crossing the centre and a wide network of smaller streets extending in every direction.
The surrounding land is agricultural, with fields and small villages dotting the plain, and the Logone river system shapes the wider region. Kelo serves as a local centre for trade and services, and its main roads connect it with other towns of southern Chad.
