The corridor itself
Kennedy Street runs as one continuous east–west line through the neighbourhood. It is the natural anchor of the composition, with smaller streets meeting it at steady intervals.

关于地图
Kennedy Street Map Poster & Print
Kennedy Street is a neighbourhood corridor in upper Northwest Washington, D.C. It runs east to west through the rowhouse blocks between the Georgia Avenue area and the streets that lead toward North Capitol. On a map it looks exactly like what it is: one steady line crossing a dense residential grid. Shops, churches and small businesses sit along the line, with quieter blocks packed in on either side.
This part of the city shows the Washington plan at neighbourhood scale. Numbered streets run north to south, named streets run east to west, and larger avenues cut across at an angle. Each block is split into narrow rowhouse lots, which gives the drawing a fine, even texture. Kennedy Street stands out because it is a working main street inside that residential pattern.
A Kennedy Street map poster lays that fabric out plainly. You see the corridor, the regular blocks around it, and the occasional diagonal that breaks the rhythm. There are no famous monuments in the frame. The subject is ordinary city life, drawn in clean black lines, which is often what people who live here care about most.

Rowhouse texture
The narrow lots and short blocks form a fine, even pattern around the corridor. At poster scale the neighbourhood reads almost like woven cloth.
Diagonal avenues
Washington's angled avenues cut through the grid nearby, adding a few strong slanting lines to an otherwise right-angled composition.

为什么选Kennedy Street
一张有意义的地图
This print is for someone who has lived on or near the corridor, who knows its corner stores and bus stops, and who wants a neighbourhood map rather than a picture of the Mall.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, for example with the date you moved in, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Buy it as a $9 digital download or as a printed, optionally framed poster.
