Vatrak river
The river winds past the town in wide bends, its sandy bed and banks giving the map a flowing curve that contrasts with the tight streets beside it.

关于地图
Kheda Map Poster & Print
Kheda lies in central Gujarat, south of Ahmedabad, on the fertile alluvial plain between the Sabarmati and Mahi rivers. The town gives its name to Kheda district and sits beside the Vatrak river, whose curving course is the clearest natural line on its map. Around the town spreads flat, intensively farmed country crossed by canals, roads and village tracks.
The name is well known in Indian history. In 1918 farmers here, facing crop failure, refused to pay land revenue in a campaign supported by Mahatma Gandhi and led on the ground by Vallabhbhai Patel. The Kheda Satyagraha became one of the early episodes of Gandhi's movement in India and helped establish Patel as a national leader.
A Kheda map poster captures the contrast between a dense old core of narrow lanes and the open agricultural land that begins almost at its edge. In black and white the river becomes a strong, meandering band, the older neighbourhoods a close mesh of lines, and the surrounding fields a calm, light background.

Old town lanes
Close to the river, the older part of Kheda is built as a compact network of narrow lanes and small blocks, typical of historic Gujarati towns.
Farmland and canals
Straight irrigation channels and field boundaries run across the surrounding plain, forming long, even lines that frame the town on every side.

为什么选Kheda
一张有意义的地图
For families with roots in Kheda district, whether still in Gujarat or across the diaspora, the town carries both personal and historical weight. A map is a restrained way to honour a place tied to India's independence story.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a family name or an important year, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 digital files cover six sizes, from A3 to 24×36″.
