关于地图
Khulayş Map Poster & Print
Khulayş lies in the Mecca Region of western Saudi Arabia, inland from the Red Sea coast and north of Jeddah. It is the centre of a governorate known for farming, with fields watered from wells in the wide valley that runs through the area. On a map the town is a scatter of blocks and walled plots rather than a single dense core, laid out across level, open ground.
Roads make the strongest shapes. Main routes run long and straight across the plain, and the residential districts along them follow the rectilinear blocks typical of newer Saudi towns. Toward the edges, farm plots form neat rectangles of cultivated land, and dry watercourses leave faint, branching traces where the map is detailed enough to show them.
A Khulayş map poster has a spare, graphic quality: wide streets, generous gaps between neighbourhoods and a sense of desert beyond the last buildings. It works well at a moderate zoom, where the grid of the town and the lines of the roads leading in share the frame without crowding each other.

Valley farmland
Cultivated plots sit around the town in the wide valley floor. Their regular outlines add a second, looser grid beyond the built-up area.
Long approach roads
Straight roads cross the open plain from several directions and give the composition strong lines that lead the eye toward the centre.

为什么选Khulayş
一张有意义的地图
For residents and for families who have farmed or lived in the governorate for generations, this map records a familiar place in a calm, modern way. Its clean lines suit contemporary interiors, offices and majlis rooms alike.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, for example with a family name or a date. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and order either the $9 HD files or a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
