关于地图
Kilapavoor Map Poster & Print
Kilapavoor lies in the Tenkasi area of southern Tamil Nadu, on the plains east of the Western Ghats. It is a farming town. On a map the built-up area is a compact cluster of streets set among fields. The mountains lie to the west, beyond the edge of a town-scale map, but their influence shows in the streams and channels that cross the land.
Like much of this region, the countryside around Kilapavoor depends on irrigation tanks, the shallow reservoirs used in Tamil Nadu for centuries. They appear on the map as broad open shapes, often with fields spreading out below them. The town's streets are packed most closely near the centre and grow looser toward its edges.
A Kilapavoor map poster presents the relationship between town, water and farmland in a calm, simple form. It is a map for people from the area and for families now living in Chennai, Bengaluru or overseas who want a picture of home drawn as carefully as any big city.
