The main roads follow the tops of the hills, curving with the terrain, and most of the settlement is strung along these routes.

关于地图
Kirambo Map Poster & Print
Kirambo is located in Rwanda's Western Province, in the hilly country that gives the nation its nickname, the land of a thousand hills. Here the landscape is almost never flat, and the map shows roads and paths following ridgelines and contours rather than straight lines.
Much of western Rwanda is farmed intensively, with small plots on the slopes and settlements along the roads that run along the high ground. The pattern of Kirambo reflects this, with a central cluster of streets and houses and lines of development stretching along the connecting roads.
A Kirambo map poster translates this terrain into lines. The winding roads, the spread of homes along the ridges and the gaps where valleys drop away produce a print full of movement, quite different from the regular patterns of lowland towns.

Winding paths
Smaller paths drop from the ridges into the valleys, drawing fine, twisting lines that reveal the steepness of the land.
Valley spaces
Between the ridges, lower ground appears as lighter areas on the map, giving the composition rhythm and depth.
