The Schoonspruit
A small river winds past the town centre, a gentle line that breaks the regularity of the grid and marks the original reason for settlement at this spot.

关于地图
Klerksdorp Map Poster & Print
Klerksdorp lies on the flat Highveld of North West province, and from above its centre is a regular grid of blocks laid out beside the Schoonspruit, a small river that runs through the town. Residential suburbs extend around the core in looser patterns, and main roads leave toward Potchefstroom, Johannesburg and the mining towns further south.
The surrounding land shows the marks of gold mining, with shafts, tailings and industrial areas spread across the open veld. Klerksdorp forms part of the Matlosana municipality along with nearby towns, and on the map the settlements appear as separate clusters linked by roads and rail lines.
Founded in 1837, Klerksdorp is often described as one of the oldest towns in the former Transvaal, and it grew quickly after gold was discovered in the late nineteenth century. A Klerksdorp map poster captures its orderly grid, its river and the wide, open land that surrounds it.

Mining landscape
Around the town, mining areas and tailings dams occupy large parts of the open veld, and roads and railways connect them across the flat terrain.

为什么选Klerksdorp
一张有意义的地图
For many South Africans, Klerksdorp is tied to family stories of mining, farming and small-town life on the Highveld. A map poster keeps that shape of home in a restrained, graphic form.
You can edit the title, subtitle and coordinates line and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Order the $9 digital HD files or a printed poster from a local print partner.
