The main road
The highway north from Addis Ababa passes directly through Kobo, forming its central axis. On the map it runs as a bold line with the town gathered along both sides.

关于地图
Kobo Map Poster & Print
Kobo lies in the North Wollo zone of the Amhara region, in northern Ethiopia, near the boundary with Tigray. The town stands on the main road running north from Addis Ababa toward Mekelle, and from above its form follows that route: a long central street lined with buildings, with a looser network of residential lanes spreading to either side.
To the east of the highland escarpment, Kobo sits beside a wide, relatively flat plain, part of the broader lowland corridor that has been the focus of irrigation and agricultural development projects. The surrounding landscape combines cultivated fields on the plain with steeper, more rugged terrain rising toward the highlands to the west.
A Kobo map poster captures a town shaped by its road and its land. The main highway runs through the composition as a firm line, the town gathers along it in a compact cluster, and field tracks and scattered settlements fill the plain around it, while the rising ground to the west thins the linework into open space.

Agricultural plain
East of the town, a broad, fairly flat plain holds cultivated fields and rural tracks, giving the poster a light, open texture that surrounds the settlement.
Rising highlands
To the west, the ground climbs toward the Ethiopian highlands, and the street network thins quickly, leaving open space that frames the town from that side.

为什么选Kobo
一张有意义的地图
Kobo is home for many families across North Wollo and for people who have moved far away but keep the town close. A map of it is a simple, lasting way to hold on to that connection.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, whether in English or another language, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand suits the plain and highland country around the town.
