Hasdeo River
The river crosses the area in broad bends, supplying water for power generation and giving the map its main natural line among the industrial shapes.

关于地图
Korba Map Poster & Print
Korba grew around coal. The town lies along the Hasdeo River in northern Chhattisgarh, and on a map its urban areas are interspersed with the pale, terraced footprints of open-cast mines and the large, regular compounds of thermal power stations. Rather than one dense core, the city is spread across several settlements linked by long roads and the railway lines that serve the collieries.
Planned townships for workers appear as tidy blocks of streets beside older bazaar areas with a looser pattern. Reservoirs, cooling ponds and ash dykes add unusual geometric shapes, and the river draws a winding line through it all. A Korba map poster is therefore unlike most city maps, combining residential streets with the outlines of heavy industry in one composition.
Korba is often described as the power capital of India because of the concentration of coal-fired plants around it, and the Gevra mine nearby is among the largest open-cast coal mines in Asia. Beyond the industrial belt, the district includes dense forest and hilly country, and the Hasdeo Bango reservoir lies upstream to the north.

Open-cast mines
Large excavations appear as wide pale areas edged by haul roads, a feature few city maps show and one that gives Korba its unusual silhouette.
Township grids
Company and government townships are laid out in orderly blocks, contrasting with the irregular lanes of the older market areas nearby.

为什么选Korba
一张有意义的地图
For families who built their lives around Korba's mines and plants, a map of the town is a record of work and community. Add a name or a township as the title, a year in the subtitle, and keep the coordinates line.
Blueprint suits Korba's engineering character; Noir and Classic black & white emphasise contrast, while Paper and Sand add warmth. The $9 download includes six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and PDF files, and printed posters are also available.
