Crossing roads
The main roads meet in the town and structure everything around them. On the print they form the strongest lines and mark the centre clearly.

关于地图
Koumbia Map Poster & Print
Koumbia lies in the north-west of Guinea, in the Boké Region, far from the country's large cities. On a map it looks like a loose cluster. A few main roads meet near the centre, homes and yards spread out along lanes, and farmland and savanna surround the settlement.
The town serves a largely rural area of farming communities. It is linked by roads to other towns in the region. Few maps show it in detail, so a poster of Koumbia shows a place that rarely gets this kind of attention.
A Koumbia map poster keeps the design simple. The main routes act as the backbone and smaller lanes branch from them. Watercourses and tracks spread across the surrounding land and show how the settlement fits into the open country around it.

Spread-out lanes
Residential lanes and paths branch into the surrounding land at a relaxed scale. They give the map an open, informal texture.
Rural surroundings
Fields, tracks and streams around the town fill the edges of the sheet. They set Koumbia firmly in the countryside of the Boké Region.
