Truyev River
The small river meanders through the town and forms loops and ponds. It divides the neighbourhoods and gives the drawing a soft curved line against the streets.

关于地图
Kuznetsk Map Poster & Print
Kuznetsk is a town in Penza Oblast, set on the small Truyev River in rolling country west of the Volga. The name comes from the blacksmiths who worked here in the town's early years. On a map the river winds through the town from one side to the other, with ponds and low ground along its banks. Most districts sit on the gentler slopes above.
The older centre follows a fairly regular pattern of streets, laid out in the manner of many provincial Russian towns. Further out are later residential blocks with longer buildings and wider spacing. Industrial areas and railway tracks add a few strong straight lines. Past these the map loosens into fields, forest strips and villages.
A Kuznetsk map poster brings out that layering: the winding river, the orderly centre and the looser outskirts around them. For people from the town, the street pattern is easy to recognise. For others it is a quiet study of a typical Middle Volga town, drawn in fine lines. The river gives the whole composition a natural centre.

Regular old centre
The historic core has a tidy grid of blocks, typical of planned provincial towns. On paper it looks like a fine, even mesh at the centre of the poster.
Railway edge
The railway line crosses the town in a long, firm stroke. It separates several districts and makes a clear straight line that anchors the layout.

为什么选Kuznetsk
一张有意义的地图
For many people Kuznetsk is simply home: school, a first job, parents' flat. A map poster keeps that place on the wall in a calm, graphic form. Add your own title and date, or set the coordinates of the family house in the subtitle line.
It comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Download the $9 HD files, 300 DPI PNG and PDF in six sizes with no watermark, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame from partners in over 30 countries.
