关于地图
La Castellana Map Poster & Print
La Castellana is a municipality in Negros Occidental, on the island of Negros in the central Philippines. It sits on the lower western slopes of Mount Kanlaon, the island's highest peak and an active volcano. On a map, the town centre forms a small, orderly grid. Around it, the land rises gently toward the mountain, crossed by farm roads and streams running down from the heights.
Like much of Negros Occidental, the area is known for sugarcane, and the fields around the town follow the slope in wide patches. Streams come down from Kanlaon in roughly parallel lines, cutting shallow valleys through the farmland. The volcano shapes the whole setting, both its landscape and daily life, as the ground climbs steadily away from the town.
A La Castellana map poster shows a provincial town set within a large natural feature. The compact grid of the poblacion contrasts with the thin roads and waterways that radiate outward. It is a grounded, honest image of a farming town at the foot of a mountain.

Poblacion grid
The town centre is laid out in a small regular grid, typical of Philippine municipalities. It forms a dense, tidy block on the poster.
Descending streams
Streams run down from the volcano in near-parallel courses. On the map they trace fine lines through the surrounding sugarcane country.
