关于地图
La Rioja Map Poster & Print
La Rioja is one of the older cities in Argentina, founded in 1591 by Juan Ramírez de Velasco. Its centre follows the classic Spanish colonial grid, with square blocks arranged around a main plaza, and the map makes that order easy to read. The city spreads eastward from the foot of the Sierra de Velasco, whose ridges rise sharply to the west.
The surrounding landscape is arid, and on a map the contrast is striking: a dense, regular grid pressed against steep, empty mountain terrain. Riverbeds that carry water only occasionally cut down from the hills, and newer neighbourhoods have extended the grid outward in several directions over the decades.
A La Rioja map poster shows the meeting of a planned colonial town and dramatic natural relief. The square blocks give the composition calm symmetry, while the mountains to the west provide a strong edge, making it a quiet but distinctive print.

Sierra de Velasco
The mountain range rises immediately west of the city, its rugged slopes framing the grid and marking a clear boundary on the map.
Dry riverbeds
Seasonal watercourses descend from the mountains through and around the city, adding curving lines that break the regularity of the grid.
