关于地图
Líšeň Map Poster & Print
Líšeň forms the eastern edge of Brno, the second-largest city in the Czech Republic. For centuries it was a separate village, and it became part of Brno only in the twentieth century. The map still shows that history. An irregular old core with narrow lanes sits next to a large, regularly planned estate of apartment blocks built in the socialist era.
The district is bordered by nature on several sides. Woods and valleys reach toward the Moravian Karst to the north, and the wooded Hády hill, with its former limestone quarry, rises nearby. The small Říčka stream cuts a valley along the edge of the district. Trams connect Líšeň with the centre of Brno.
A Líšeň map poster shows these three layers side by side: the tight old village streets, the long curving rows of the housing estate and the empty green areas of the woods and hills. The contrast gives the print an unusual, layered character for a city district.

Housing estate
The large estate of apartment blocks is laid out in broad, sweeping curves. It is the most geometric part of the map.
Wooded edges
Woods, valleys and Hády hill border the district to the north and east, leaving calm open areas at the edge of the composition.

为什么选Líšeň
一张有意义的地图
Many Brno residents grew up in Líšeň's apartment blocks or in its old village streets. A map of the district keeps the tram ride home, the woods and the familiar courtyards in view.
Add a street, a family name or a date to the title, with or without Czech diacritics, and edit the coordinates. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
