Ljungby Map Poster & Print
Ljungby lies in Kronoberg county in southern Sweden, on the Lagan River. On a map the river runs through the town from north to south, and the centre sits on its banks. The town has a fairly regular core of blocks, with low-rise residential districts spreading out into the pine and birch forest on every side.
The E4 motorway passes the town, a long straight line that carries traffic between southern Sweden and the rest of the country. Beyond the edge of town, the map is typical Småland: a patchwork of forest, small fields and lakes. The large lake Bolmen lies a short distance to the west.
Ljungby calls itself a saga town and has a long tradition of storytelling and folk tales that it still celebrates. A Ljungby map poster shows a town that is tidy at its centre, with the Lagan running through it and forest and water spreading out to the edges.

Ljungby's central streets form a fairly regular grid of blocks. The pattern is easy to follow and changes gradually into looser residential streets further out.
Forest and lakes
Beyond the edge of town, the map fills with Småland forest, farmland and scattered lakes. The large Lake Bolmen lies just to the west.
