关于地图
Mabubas Map Poster & Print
Mabubas lies in Bengo Province in northwestern Angola, not far from the provincial capital Caxito and within reach of Luanda. It sits on the Dande River, and on a map the river is the organising line. The settlement's modest network of roads and buildings follows the valley, and farmland and scrub extend across the low country around it.
The name is best known for the Mabubas hydroelectric dam on the Dande, built in the colonial period to supply power to the Luanda region. The dam and the reservoir behind it are the most distinctive features in the area. They give the map a clear focal point where the river narrows and is held back.
A Mabubas map poster is a portrait of a river place more than a city. The Dande's winding course, the shape of the dam and the scattered roads of the settlement make a spare, open composition. It suits people with family ties to Bengo or those who worked in the area and want a lasting reminder of it.

Hydroelectric dam
The dam on the Dande holds back a stretch of water upstream. Its compact structure and the widened river behind it form the map's clearest focal point.
Open surroundings
Around the settlement the map shows sparse roads and wide open land, which gives the poster a calm, spacious frame with plenty of empty space.

为什么选Mabubas
一张有意义的地图
A map of Mabubas is a personal choice, usually made by someone who was born near the Dande, whose family comes from Bengo, or who spent working years in the area. It turns a place rarely seen in print into something worth displaying.
Write a name, a date or a place of origin into the title and subtitle, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download the $9 HD files or order a print shipped from a partner near you.
