关于地图
Macerata Map Poster & Print
Macerata stands on a hill between the valleys of the Potenza and the Chienti, a few kilometres inland from the Adriatic. From above, its historic centre is a compact oval of lanes and piazzas enclosed within the line of its old walls. Newer districts spread down the slopes and along the ridges, following the roads that leave the old gates.
The town is home to one of Italy's oldest universities, with origins in the thirteenth century, and to the Sferisterio, a large neoclassical arena originally built for a ball game and now used for a well-known summer opera festival. Macerata is also the birthplace of Matteo Ricci, the Jesuit who travelled to China in the sixteenth century.
A Macerata map poster shows the tight walled centre at the top of the hill, the long curve of the Sferisterio along its edge and the roads winding down into the valleys. The rolling farmland of the Marche frames the whole composition.

为什么选Macerata
一张有意义的地图
Macerata is a university town, an opera destination and a home for many families in the Marche. A map of its hilltop centre suits former students, returning visitors and anyone with ties to the region.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for a graduation year or a festival season, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper suits the old walls especially well.
