关于地图
Mãe do Rio Map Poster & Print
Mãe do Rio is a municipality in the north-east of Pará, in the Brazilian Amazon region. Its name means mother of the river. From above, the town has a clear, planned look. Straight streets form rectangular blocks close to the main highway, and the built area gives way quickly to open pasture and patches of forest.
Like many towns in this part of Pará, Mãe do Rio grew along a road rather than a river. Its layout reflects that history: the highway runs as a strong axis through the landscape, and the town's grid is attached to it. Streams and low, wooded valleys wind through the surrounding countryside.
A Mãe do Rio map poster shows the neat grid, the long highway line and the softer shapes of the land around it. It is a personal image of a place that rarely appears on printed maps, meaningful for people who were born here or have family in the region.

Planned grid
The urban area follows a regular pattern of straight streets and rectangular blocks. It is clear and easy to read on a poster.
Streams and pasture
Around the town, small watercourses and field boundaries break up the landscape into irregular shapes. They frame the tidy grid at the centre.
