Māḩiş Map Poster & Print
Māḩiş is a town in Balqa governorate in Jordan, in the hilly country between Amman and the Jordan Valley. From above, the terrain shapes everything. Roads wind along ridges and around slopes, and houses group on the more level ground, leaving valleys and steep hillsides largely unbuilt.
The result is a street map that looks very different from the grids of the plains. Main roads trace long curves between neighbouring towns, and smaller streets branch off at irregular angles, often ending where the ground drops away. Terraces and olive groves cover some of the surrounding slopes.
A Māḩiş map poster brings out that contour-driven pattern. The town sits along its ridges, the connecting roads snake across the sheet, and open land fills the valleys between them. It is a thoughtful, understated image for people with family ties to the town or to the Balqa hills more broadly.
