关于地图
Masalani Map Poster & Print
Masalani is a town in eastern Kenya, near the lower course of the Tana River, the country's longest river. From above, the landscape is flat and semi-arid, with scrub and open ground. The town forms a compact settlement, with tracks leading out towards the surrounding villages and grazing land.
In this region, water is the main organising feature of the landscape. The river and its seasonal channels set where farming is possible, and much of the surrounding land is used for pastoralism. The town serves as a local centre for trade and services for the wider area.
A Masalani map poster presents the town simply. There is a dense core of streets and a few main routes, surrounded by wide open land. The space around the settlement is part of the design and shows how far the town reaches into the dry country around it. The result is a quiet, spacious print.

Outward tracks
Unpaved roads leave the town towards villages and the river. Their thin lines give the composition direction across the open ground.
Open country
The flat, semi-arid land around the town has few roads. On the poster it becomes wide, calm empty space around the settlement.
