Crossroads centre
Several regional roads meet at the heart of town, where the street pattern tightens into a small, busy core. This is the focal point of the map.

关于地图
Mbouda Map Poster & Print
Mbouda is the main town of the Bamboutos department in Cameroon's West Region, in the green highlands of the Grassfields. The terrain is hilly, and the map shows it: roads follow ridges and valleys instead of straight lines, and the town centre is a compact cluster where several routes meet. Around it, scattered compounds and farm tracks cover the slopes.
The Bamboutos Mountains, an old volcanic massif and one of the highest ranges in the region, rise to the northwest. Their fertile soils and cool climate support intensive farming, and Mbouda is an important market town for vegetables, potatoes and other crops grown on the surrounding hills. Produce from the area is sent to cities across the country.
A Mbouda map poster shows how a highland town sits among its slopes. Winding roads, a dense crossroads centre and a wide spread of rural settlement are all drawn in fine lines. In black and white the curving roads trace the relief without any shading. It suits anyone with family ties to the Bamboutos area.

Contour-following roads
Outside the centre, roads curve along ridges and down into valleys. Their bends hint at the hilly terrain even without relief shading.
Farmed hillsides
Scattered tracks and compounds spread across the slopes around town. They give the outer poster a loose, rural texture.
