Repeating housing blocks
Rows of narrow residential blocks create a regular, almost textile-like pattern, typical of planned developments on the growing outskirts of Monterrey.

关于地图
Mitras Poniente Map Poster & Print
Mitras Poniente is a residential area in the municipality of García, on the western fringe of the Monterrey metropolitan area in Nuevo León. It belongs to the wave of planned housing developments that have extended the metro area westward, and the map shows that origin: repeated blocks of similar size, arranged in orderly patterns along a few main access roads.
The setting is dry and mountainous. Ridges and hills rise around the valley, and the edges of the neighbourhoods often meet open, unbuilt terrain. This gives the map a clear contrast between the dense rhythm of housing and the empty spaces beyond, where the landscape has not yet been divided into plots.
A Mitras Poniente map poster shows a young community in precise detail, street by street. For the families who live there, those regular blocks are not anonymous at all. Each one holds a home, a school run or a corner shop, and the map turns that everyday geography into a clean, considered image.

Main access roads
A few wider roads carry traffic in and out, forming the spine of the street network and linking the area to the rest of the metropolis.
Open desert edges
Where development stops, the map opens into bare terrain toward the surrounding hills, emphasising how recently this landscape has been built on.
