Moaña Map Poster & Print
Moaña lies on the northern shore of the Ría de Vigo, on the Morrazo peninsula, directly across the water from the city of Vigo. From above, it doesn't have a single centre. Instead, it stretches along the shoreline, with houses and small harbours strung along a coastal road and wooded hills rising steeply behind them.
The ría shapes everything on the map. The coastline bends into small coves and beaches, and piers and marinas reach out into the water. Inland, narrow lanes climb the slopes to scattered parishes, which is typical of rural Galicia. A regular passenger ferry crosses the ría to Vigo, a daily commute for many residents.
