Valley-floor axis
The main road and the river run together through the town. Most of the street network hangs off this single line, which gives the map a strong lengthwise direction.

关于地图
Moineşti Map Poster & Print
Moineşti follows a river valley in the Subcarpathian hills of Bacău County. From above it is a stretched town, with streets running along the valley floor and side roads climbing short distances into the slopes on either side. The shape is linear, not radial, and the river holds the whole plan together.
The hills around Moineşti have produced oil since the nineteenth century, and the town grew up with the industry. It also has a cultural footnote beyond its size. Tristan Tzara, one of the founders of Dada, was born here in 1896. In the 1880s, Jewish families from Moineşti were among the early settlers who helped found Rosh Pina in present-day Israel.
A Moineşti map poster traces this valley shape in fine detail. The river and main road run through the length of the print. Residential streets branch off at angles, and the hills are suggested by the way the network thins and bends at the edges. The result is a map with direction and movement, and it suits the valley setting well.

Oil-field hills
The slopes above town have been worked for oil for well over a century. On the map they show as sparse tracks winding up away from the valley.
Tzara's birthplace
The town where Tristan Tzara was born in 1896 appears here as a quiet valley settlement, a notable contrast with the avant-garde movement he helped start.

为什么选Moineşti
一张有意义的地图
This poster suits people with roots in Moineşti, including descendants of families who emigrated, and readers interested in Dada and its origins. The long valley shape looks especially good in portrait formats.
You can edit the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a family name, a year or a short dedication. Choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir gives the river valley a dramatic, night-like contrast.
