Río Pilón
The river passes the town with trees along its banks, and it is the one natural line crossing the tidy street grid.

关于地图
Montemorelos Map Poster & Print
Montemorelos lies southeast of Monterrey in Nuevo León, on the Pilón River as it flows out of the Sierra Madre Oriental. From above, the town is a compact grid on the river's bank, and beyond it the land is divided into orange groves, which on the map show up as regular field boundaries and rural roads.
The area is known as one of the main citrus-growing regions of Mexico, and oranges are central to local identity and the economy. The town is also home to the Universidad de Montemorelos, an Adventist university with a sizeable campus and hospital that bring students from across Latin America.
A Montemorelos map poster brings together the river's curve, the square blocks of the centre and the university campus with the orchards that surround it. The result is a gentle, well-ordered composition that reflects a working farm town in northeastern Mexico.

Colonial grid
The centre follows the Mexican pattern of square blocks around a main plaza and church, and it reads clearly at any print size.
Citrus groves
Around the town, orchards stretch in regular plots divided by farm roads. That fine pattern fills the edges of the poster.
