关于地图
Mooka Map Poster & Print
Mooka, also written Mōka, is a city in southeastern Tochigi Prefecture, on the flat farmland of the northern Kanto plain. On a map it appears as a compact centre gathered around its railway station, with residential streets thinning quickly into paddies, fields and small villages. Rivers flow south through the area and mark out long north–south bands in the landscape.
The city is known across Japan as a major strawberry-growing area. It is also home to the Mooka Railway, where the SL Mooka steam train runs on weekends toward the pottery town of Mashiko and beyond. Industrial parks on the outskirts add larger, more regular blocks to the edges of the map.
A Mooka map poster is a portrait of a provincial Japanese city in balance with its countryside: the railway line, the grid near the station and a wide field of farmland patterns. It suits people with family roots here, or anyone who remembers the slow steam train rolling through the fields.

Station-centred core
The densest streets gather around the station. The pattern is typical of Japanese regional towns and gives the map an obvious centre.
Farmland patterns
Paddies and fields surround the city in small rectangular plots. In monochrome they create a fine, regular texture across much of the poster.

为什么选Mooka
一张有意义的地图
A map of Mooka is a small, personal object: the home town of a parent, a first job at a local factory, weekends spent picking strawberries. Its calm lines fit easily into a Japanese home or a flat overseas.
