Main road corridor
The town stretches along its principal roads. Most buildings and lanes are grouped close to these routes instead of forming a dense core.

关于地图
Mpanda Map Poster & Print
Mpanda lies in Bubanza province in western Burundi, north of Bujumbura. The town sits close to where the flat lowlands of the Rusizi plain begin to rise towards the country's hilly interior. From above, the built area follows the main roads, with lanes and plots spreading out on either side, and the land beyond is a mix of fields, scattered homesteads and small streams.
This is an agricultural area, and farmland dominates the landscape. The settlement pattern is loose rather than dense. Houses and small clusters are distributed along roads and paths instead of concentrated in a compact centre. To the east, the ground climbs quickly, and on a detailed map that change in terrain is visible in the way roads begin to wind.
A Mpanda map poster reflects that open, rural character. The main roads form strong lines through the composition, and the smaller paths and plots add a fine, uneven texture. The transition from plain to hills gives the map a subtle sense of direction. For people from Bubanza and the surrounding area, it is a simple, honest image of home.
