The crossroads
Main routes meet at the town, and their intersection forms the centre of the map. Much of Namialo's activity and street pattern grows out from this point.

关于地图
Namialo Map Poster & Print
Namialo lies in Nampula Province in northern Mozambique, east of the city of Nampula. It grew up as a crossroads, and the map shows it. Main roads meet near the centre, with the town's streets and neighbourhoods spread around the junction. Markets and trade stops gather where travellers change direction.
The country around it is open and gently rolling, broken in places by the granite domes and outcrops typical of this part of Mozambique. Beyond the town, small farms, tracks and scattered homesteads form a loose, informal pattern. On the map, that looser texture sets off the more closely built area near the crossroads.
A Namialo map poster is essentially a portrait of a meeting point. It shows the strong lines of the main roads, the town that grew around them and the wide landscape beyond. The composition is simple but clear, and it will mean the most to people who live in Namialo or have passed through its junction many times.

Informal neighbourhoods
Around the core, homes and compounds spread out in an irregular pattern of lanes and paths. In monochrome they become a fine, organic texture.
Open countryside
Farmland and scattered settlement surround the town. The quiet space at the edges of the print emphasises how the town sits alone on the open road.
