Narra lies in southern-central Palawan, on the island's eastern side facing the Sulu Sea. Its map moves from the coastline, with its bays and mangrove edges, across a band of flat agricultural land, up toward the forested mountains that run down the centre of the island.
The municipality is known as one of Palawan's main rice-growing areas, and the lowlands are divided into fields crossed by irrigation channels and farm roads. Offshore lies Rasa Island, a protected sanctuary for the critically endangered Philippine cockatoo.
