Railway line
The line from Quetta toward Taftan passes through Nok Kundi, and its long straight course across the desert is the defining feature of the map.

关于地图
Nok Kundi Map Poster & Print
Nok Kundi sits on the wide, arid plains of Chagai District in western Balochistan, near the point where Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan meet. The desert around it is almost empty, so on a map the town looks like a small group of streets surrounded by open space. The railway and the main road pass through it and leave the frame in straight lines.
The town grew as a stop on the railway line that runs west from Quetta toward the Iranian border at Taftan, and it still serves travellers and freight along that route. The Chagai region is known for its mineral deposits. The Saindak and Reko Diq mining projects lie in the surrounding desert and have brought national attention to this remote area.
A Nok Kundi map poster is mostly empty space. The compact town is surrounded by bare land, and the rail line and road carry the eye to the edges. It is a strong, minimal image that shows how isolated the area is and how much the transport routes matter in a place like this.

Desert plain
Around the town the land is open and sparsely marked, so the poster leaves wide areas of empty space that emphasise how remote Nok Kundi is.
Compact settlement
The town's streets form a small, tight cluster where road and rail meet, a clear focal point in the middle of an otherwise empty frame.

为什么选Nok Kundi
一张有意义的地图
A map of Nok Kundi appeals to people with a real connection to it: families from Chagai, railway and mining workers, and travellers who crossed this desert on the way to Iran. Its sparse layout gives it a strong graphic character on a wall.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a name, a date or a line in Urdu. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The poster is available as a $9 digital file or as a print shipped from partners in over 30 countries.
