Centredale and the river
The village of Centredale grew beside the Woonasquatucket River. The curve of the water, with roads gathering around it, marks one of the town's historic centres.

关于地图
North Providence Map Poster & Print
North Providence sits directly north of Providence, and along much of the boundary you cannot tell where one ends and the other begins. The town grew from a string of nineteenth century mill villages, among them Centredale on the Woonasquatucket River. Those older centres are still visible on the map as places where streets converge and the grid tightens.
Almost the entire town is built up. Residential streets fill the space between main roads in short, closely packed blocks. Some are laid out as grids and others follow older lanes and the lie of the land. Water provides the main breaks in the pattern: the Woonasquatucket on the western side and Wenscott Reservoir further east. Parks and cemeteries add smaller gaps.
A North Providence map poster has a satisfying density, with fine streets covering nearly the whole frame. It suits people who grew up in one of its neighbourhoods, those who still describe where they live by village name, and anyone who knows the town as part of the larger Providence area rather than a separate place.

Wenscott Reservoir
This irregular sheet of water lies on the eastern side of town. It forms one of the largest open shapes on the map among the tightly packed streets.
Continuous street fabric
Neighbourhood blocks run almost unbroken across the town and merge into Providence to the south. The result is an even, detailed texture across the poster from edge to edge.
