The through road
The main road runs straight through the town and acts as its spine, with most commercial and built-up areas clustered close to it.

关于地图
Nzianouan Map Poster & Print
Nzianouan is a town in southern Ivory Coast, in the belt of plantations and remnant forest that lies inland from the Abidjan lagoons. Like many towns in the region, it has grown up around the road that connects it to larger centres, and that road organises the map.
Away from the main route, streets form a fairly regular pattern of blocks and compounds before turning into tracks that lead to fields. The contrast between the dense centre and the open, green edges is sharp, and it makes the town's footprint easy to read from above.
A Nzianouan map poster renders all of this as fine line work: the main road, the tighter blocks around it and the thinning paths beyond. It does not try to be a travel image. It is a clear record of a place, meant for those who know it firsthand.

Block pattern
Behind the main road, streets form a fairly regular set of blocks, giving the centre of the map an orderly, gridded texture.
Tracks to plantations
At the edges, streets become tracks leading into farmland, so the poster fades from dense lines into open space.
