关于地图
Ōsaki Map Poster & Print
Ōsaki was formed in 2006 from the merger of Furukawa and several neighbouring towns in northern Miyagi Prefecture, and it covers a broad area. On a map the eastern part is a flat plain of rectangular rice paddies divided by rivers and irrigation channels, with Furukawa's compact centre at its heart, while the western part rises into forested mountains and narrow valleys.
The Ōsaki area is recognised as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System for its traditional water management for paddy farming, including the igune woodlands that shelter farmhouses. In the west lies Naruko Onsen, a hot-spring town known for its kokeshi wooden dolls, and Furukawa Station links the city to the Tohoku Shinkansen.
An Ōsaki map poster centred on Furukawa shows a tidy urban grid surrounded by the geometry of the paddies, with roads and rivers crossing the plain in long lines. The patchwork of fields gives the composition an unusual, almost textile-like quality, a reminder that this city is as much farmland as town.

Paddy plain
Around the centre, rectangular rice fields divided by farm roads and channels create a fine, regular pattern that extends to the edge of the map.
Rivers of the plain
Rivers flowing east from the mountains cross the plain in gentle curves, their embankments drawn as long lines through the fields.

为什么选Ōsaki
一张有意义的地图
Ōsaki connects people to rice harvests, hot springs and a quiet life in northern Tohoku. A map of the city suits anyone who grew up there, moved there for work or has family on the plain, and fits a Japanese interior particularly well.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a place name, a date or a message. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and receive six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF, or a printed poster.
