Palakkad Fort
A compact square with bastions at the corners and a moat around it, the fort is the most geometric shape in town and an immediate focal point of the map.

关于地图
Palakkad Map Poster & Print
Palakkad sits at the western end of the Palakkad Gap, the widest break in the Western Ghats and the natural corridor between Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Roads and the railway funnel through this opening, and the town spreads across the plain in an irregular web of streets, with paddy fields pressing close on several sides. The district is often called the granary of Kerala for its rice.
At the centre stands Palakkad Fort, a square granite fort built by Hyder Ali in 1766 and later associated with Tipu Sultan, its moat still visible on the map. To the west, the Kalpathy agraharam preserves rows of traditional Brahmin houses along the Kalpathy river, and its temple chariot festival each November draws large crowds.
A Palakkad map poster reads as a meeting of built and cultivated land. The fort's hard square contrasts with the organic streets around it, the river curves along the town's edge, and the paddy fields beyond leave broad, pale spaces. It makes a quiet, grounded picture of a town shaped by its gap in the hills.

Kalpathy agraharam
Long terraced rows of houses line narrow streets beside the river, a dense linear pattern clearly different from the looser neighbourhoods nearby.
Gap and railway
Roads and rail lines converge from the east, following the pass through the Ghats, and give the map strong directional strokes toward Tamil Nadu.

为什么选Palakkad
一张有意义的地图
Palakkad is often the place people leave from, for Kochi, Coimbatore or abroad, which is exactly why its map matters to them. The fort, the river and the fields make an image that feels specific rather than generic.
Title it with your family name or neighbourhood, add a subtitle and coordinates, and choose Classic, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Printed posters come on matte paper with an optional wooden frame; digital files include six sizes at 300 DPI.
