The Jhelum bank
The river bends past the town's western edge, and most of Pāmpur's lanes run parallel to it, giving the map a strong diagonal spine that anchors the whole frame.

关于地图
Pāmpur Map Poster & Print
Pāmpur sits on the right bank of the Jhelum a short drive south-east of Srinagar, and on a map the river and the national highway run almost side by side through town. Lanes and small plots crowd between the two, then give way quickly to open ground. The layout is simple and linear, which suits a minimalist print where a few strong lines carry the whole composition.
Beyond the built-up strip the land rises onto the karewas, the raised table-lands of the Kashmir Valley. These plateaus are where Pāmpur's saffron is grown, and the town is widely known as the saffron capital of Kashmir. From above the fields read as a quiet, open surface with thin field tracks, a sharp contrast to the dense cluster of houses by the water.
A Pāmpur map poster keeps that contrast: the curve of the Jhelum, the steady line of the road towards Srinagar and Anantnag, the tight village fabric and the pale plateaus beyond. Rendered in black and white, it becomes a map about agriculture and geography as much as about streets, a portrait of a place defined by one crop and one river.

Saffron karewas
Raised alluvial plateaus around the town hold the saffron fields Pāmpur is known for. On the poster they appear as calm open ground crossed only by narrow tracks.
Highway corridor
The main road between Srinagar and southern Kashmir passes straight through Pāmpur, a clean line that shows how the town grew along the valley's main route.

For families from Pulwama district, or anyone who has travelled the valley road in autumn when the saffron flowers, this map is a reminder of a very specific landscape. It works well in a kitchen or study, where its simple river-and-road geometry reads clearly from across the room.
