Soldiers' Home grounds
The Armed Forces Retirement Home campus forms a large open shape beside the neighbourhood, and its curving drives and green space contrast sharply with the dense street grid.

关于地图
Park View Map Poster & Print
Park View is a neighbourhood in Northwest Washington, D.C., north of Howard University and east of Columbia Heights. Its map is a tight grid of residential streets lined with early twentieth-century row houses. On one side lie the large open grounds of the Armed Forces Retirement Home, a broad green expanse against the dense city blocks.
Georgia Avenue runs along the neighbourhood as its main commercial street, a long straight line heading north toward Petworth. Within the grid, streets are regular and closely spaced, with alleys running behind the rows. The pattern renders well in black and white as a fine, even mesh, broken only by schools, small parks and the occasional diagonal.
Just beyond the neighbourhood's edge are the Soldiers' Home grounds, where President Lincoln's Cottage still stands. Lincoln spent summers in the house during the Civil War and worked on the Emancipation Proclamation there. A Park View map poster brings that edge of green and history into the same frame as the everyday streets.

Georgia Avenue
This long commercial spine runs straight along the neighbourhood. It is one of the key streets of Northwest Washington and a strong vertical line on the poster.
Row-house grid
Closely spaced residential streets with rear alleys create a regular, finely textured pattern, typical of the row-house neighbourhoods built across the city in the early twentieth century.

为什么选Park View
一张有意义的地图
Park View residents tend to know their block, their alley and their nearest corner on Georgia Avenue. A map shows all of those at once and makes a good gift for a first home in the District or a reminder of years spent in the neighbourhood.
Add your own title and subtitle, perhaps a street address and a year, and set the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download the $9 files or order a matte print, framed if you prefer.
