关于地图
Pennādam Map Poster & Print
Pennādam is a town in Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu, on the banks of the Vellar river. On a map its streets gather close together around the town's temple, with lanes and blocks arranged in the tradition of many Tamil temple towns. Beyond the built-up area the land opens into irrigated fields, and the river winds across the landscape with its wide, sandy bed.
The town is best known for the Pralayakaleswarar temple, an old Shiva shrine praised in the Tevaram hymns of the Nayanar saints and counted among the Paadal Petra Sthalams. Its compound forms a clear rectangle at the heart of the map, and the surrounding streets follow its outline. Roads lead out from Pennādam towards Virudhachalam, Tittakudi and the other towns of the district.
A Pennādam map poster captures the close link between the temple, the town and the river. The temple compound anchors the design, the streets form a dense but ordered texture around it, and the curving Vellar adds a strong natural line. It is a thoughtful image for devotees, families from the town and anyone who knows this part of Tamil Nadu.
