Pervouralsk Map Poster & Print
Pervouralsk lies in the Middle Urals, where the Chusovaya River winds through low wooded hills. The river and the ponds formed by old factory dams shape the map. Around them the town spreads in several clusters, separated by forest and linked by roads and a railway.
The settlement began in the eighteenth century as an ironworks, one of the early industrial sites of the Urals, which explains its name, meaning First Urals. Today it is known for pipe manufacturing, and large factory complexes occupy substantial parts of the map.
Near the town stands a monument marking the boundary between Europe and Asia, a popular stop on the road from Yekaterinburg. A Pervouralsk map poster shows a place defined by rivers, hills and industry, with dense residential districts laid out between the forests.
