Ridge-top old town
The historic centre runs along the crest in a slim band of dense blocks. On the map it looks like a line of streets balanced above everything around it.

关于地图
Potenza Map Poster & Print
Potenza is the capital of Basilicata and one of the highest regional capitals in Italy. It sits on a ridge well above the valley of the Basento. From above, the historic centre is a thin strip of streets following the crest. Newer districts spill down the slopes on either side, and the roads bend back and forth to handle the gradient.
The old core is easy to pick out because it is so compact. Tight blocks line a spine of streets along the top of the ridge. Below them the pattern loosens into curving roads, apartment clusters and green gaps where the ground is too steep to build on. The Basento runs along the valley floor, and the main road and railway corridors follow it.
A Potenza map poster shows a city shaped by altitude. The town has to climb as much as it spreads, which is why it built a long network of public escalators and lifts to link the lower districts to the centre. On paper, the contour of the ridge gives the composition a clear, readable backbone.

Switchback approaches
The roads climbing to the centre fold into curves and hairpins. These winding lines stand out clearly against the straighter valley routes below.
Basento valley floor
The river and its transport corridor run along the lower edge of the city. They form a long horizontal counterweight to the high ground above.

为什么选Potenza
一张有意义的地图
Potenza tends to stay with people who have lived with its climbs and views. A poster of it keeps the town's unusual shape in view, a city strung along a hilltop, drawn in fine lines that suit a study, hallway or living room.
You can personalise the title, the subtitle and the coordinates line, for example with a family name or a year that matters. Pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
