Java Sea coast
The northern edge of the map is a long, straight shoreline. It gives the print a strong horizontal line, and the sea is a calm, open space.

关于地图
Rembangan Map Poster & Print
Rembangan lies on the north coast of Central Java, facing the Java Sea. The coastline here is low and fairly straight, and on a map the sea forms a clean edge along the top of the town. The main coastal road, one of the oldest routes across Java, runs close to the shore and links the town to its neighbours east and west.
The shoreline of this part of Java is used intensively. Fishing boats moor in small harbours and river mouths, and ponds and pans for fish and salt spread along the coast in a regular pattern of small rectangles. Inland, streets form a dense network around the town centre, and beyond it rice fields and plantations stretch towards the low hills.
A Rembangan map poster frames the town between the sea and the farmland, with the coast road running between them. In black and white the combination is very clear: an open sea, a band of coastal ponds, the compact streets of the town, and the fields behind.

Coastal ponds
Rectangular ponds and pans along the shore form a regular, tiled pattern between the sea and the town. It is one of the most distinctive textures on the map.
North coast road
The main road along Java's north coast passes through the town close to the shore. It is a long, steady line connecting it to the rest of the island.
