The historic centre wraps around the hill where the castle stands. It is a small knot of curving streets rising above the flatter ground below.

关于地图
Rivoli Map Poster & Print
Rivoli sits at the mouth of the Susa Valley, just west of Turin, on the slope of a morainic hill left by ancient glaciers. The old town climbs the hill in a tight pattern of streets leading up toward the castle. The newer districts spread down onto the flat plain toward the city.
The Castello di Rivoli, a former Savoy residence left unfinished in the eighteenth century, now houses one of Italy's leading museums of contemporary art. From its terrace the view runs down Corso Francia, the long avenue that connects Rivoli with Turin and one of the most recognisable straight lines in the region.
A Rivoli map poster combines two very different shapes: a compact, contoured old town on the hill and a ruler-straight axis heading east across the plain. Residential streets, industrial areas and the edge of the Alpine foothills fill in around them, giving a map that feels historic and modern at once.

Corso Francia
A long, perfectly straight avenue leaves Rivoli toward Turin. It cuts across the map and gives the composition its strongest line.
Mouth of the Susa Valley
To the west the ground rises toward the Alps and the valley that leads to France, which leaves the far edge of the poster open and lightly marked.

为什么选Rivoli
一张有意义的地图
Rivoli appeals to people who live around Turin, to those who have visited the castle for its art and to anyone who knows the view down Corso Francia. The map puts that view on paper, from the hilltop to the plain.
Write your own title and subtitle, such as a name or a date, and keep or change the coordinates. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint brings out the geometry of the long avenue.
