关于地图
Rocha Map Poster & Print
Rocha is the capital of the department of the same name in south-eastern Uruguay. The city lies inland, a short drive from the Atlantic. Its map shows the regular chequerboard of blocks common to towns founded in the Spanish colonial period, centred on a main square. Streets run straight out to the city edge, where they meet pasture and low, gently rolling ground.
To the south, the Laguna de Rocha opens toward the ocean, one of several coastal lagoons that shape this part of the country. The department's coast includes La Paloma, Cabo Polonio and Punta del Diablo, so the city serves as the administrative centre of a region better known for its beaches and protected wetlands.
A Rocha map poster appeals to people who grew up in the city and to visitors who spent summers on the Rocha coast and passed through its streets on the way. The clean geometry of the grid, bordered by open country, makes a restrained and handsome print.

Laguna de Rocha
South of the city, a large coastal lagoon stretches toward the Atlantic, part of a chain of shallow lakes and wetlands along Uruguay's eastern shore.
Roads to the coast
Routes leave the city toward the ocean resorts of the department, crossing open, lightly settled farmland in long, direct lines.
