The Kigali–Huye road
The main national road runs through the town as its backbone. It is the clearest line on the poster, and nearly every other street and path in Ruhango branches off it.

关于地图
Ruhango Map Poster & Print
Ruhango sits in the hills of Rwanda's Southern Province, on the national road that links Kigali with Huye. From above, the town is a long cluster. The core is densest where the highway passes, and from there smaller roads and footpaths branch outward, following the contours of the ridges and quickly giving way to farmland. Almost everything on the map can be traced back to that one road.
Rwanda's nickname, the land of a thousand hills, is easy to read here. Tracks that hug the contours, curving valley floors and scattered homesteads give the map an organic texture, very different from a planned grid. Most of the surrounding land is farmed in small plots, so few streets run far before they turn into field paths across the slopes.
Ruhango is the seat of the district of the same name and a market centre for the countryside around it. A Ruhango map poster keeps the balance between the single through-road and the web of smaller paths around it. Fine lines make the folds of the landscape visible without any shading, and the hills come through in the way the roads bend.

Ridge-following lanes
Secondary roads bend with the hills instead of cutting across them. The curved, irregular lines they leave trace the topography even on a flat black-and-white print.
A soft edge
The built-up area fades into cultivated slopes rather than stopping at a boundary. Small blocks break up into scattered paths and rural tracks toward the edges of the frame.

为什么选Ruhango
一张有意义的地图
For people from Ruhango who now live in Kigali or abroad, the map is a direct reminder of home: the road into town, the market, the hills beyond. It also makes a considered gift for anyone who has worked, studied or volunteered in the Southern Province.
The title can carry the town's name, a family name or a date, and the coordinates line can be edited too. Pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Then download the $9 HD files or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
