Saiha Map Poster & Print
Saiha, also known as Siaha, is the headquarters of the district of the same name in southern Mizoram and the main town of the Mara people. Like most Mizo towns, it sits on a ridge. From above, the roads trace switchbacks down the slopes, and houses line them in tight rows wherever the ground allows.
The surrounding country is steep, green and cut by deep valleys. The Kolodyne River, known locally as Chhimtuipui, runs through the district toward Myanmar. Palak Dil, the largest natural lake in Mizoram, lies in Saiha district and is valued for its wetlands and birdlife.
A Saiha map poster shows a town shaped almost entirely by its terrain. The streets fold back and forth along contours, and the valleys around them are nearly empty. The composition has the feel of a contour drawing, and it is very different from a flat-land city.

Roads zigzag down the steep slopes in sharp hairpin bends, creating a distinctive pattern that appears only in hill towns like this one.
