Contour-following roads
Streets curve along the slopes rather than cutting straight across them, giving the town an irregular, flowing pattern on the map.

关于地图
Sek’ot’a Map Poster & Print
Sek’ot’a is the main town of the Wag Hemra zone in Ethiopia's Amhara region. It sits in rugged highland country, and the town's layout responds to the terrain: roads follow contours and ridges, and neighbourhoods spread across uneven ground rather than in a regular grid. Around it, the land drops into valleys and gorges.
The Wag area has long been associated with the Agaw people and has its own historical ruling line. The region is dry and mountainous, and settlements like Sek’ot’a act as local centres for markets, administration and services for a wide surrounding area.
A Sek’ot’a map poster reflects a town shaped by its setting. Streets bend and fork around slopes, and the main road winds in and out of the town. Even without relief shading, the curves of the road network show how closely the town follows the land.

Main road approach
The principal road winds into town through the highlands. Its bends make a strong line that ties the settlement to the rest of the region.
Surrounding highlands
Beyond the built-up area, sparse tracks cross open, steep country. That emptiness frames the town and hints at the scale of the landscape.

为什么选Sek’ot’a
一张有意义的地图
Sek’ot’a matters to people from Wag Hemra wherever they now live, from Addis Ababa to abroad. A map of the town is a respectful, understated way to keep that origin visible.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps in English or with a family name or year. Choose among Classic, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand; Sand suits the dry highland light.
