关于地图
Sérres Map Poster & Print
Sérres lies in Central Macedonia in northern Greece, where the wide, fertile plain of the Strymon River meets the slopes of Mount Menoikio. The modern city spreads across the flat ground in a fairly regular grid, much of it rebuilt after the fire of 1913 during the Balkan Wars. Above it, the older heights rise sharply toward the hills.
The most recognisable point is the Koulas, the acropolis hill with the remains of Byzantine walls and a medieval tower, which offers wide views across the plain. Below it, the centre is organised around a few large squares. The city is also known for its Byzantine church of Saints Theodore and, among Greeks, for its bougatsa.
A Sérres map poster captures this meeting of plain and hill. The regular streets fill the lower part of the frame, the acropolis forms a winding, irregular edge, and the roads heading out across the Strymon plain draw long straight lines toward the horizon. It is an orderly yet distinctive composition for anyone who knows the city.

Rebuilt grid
After the fire of 1913, much of the centre was rebuilt on a regular plan, and its straight streets and squares give the poster a calm, even structure.
Strymon plain
Long, straight roads and field boundaries stretch across the flat plain around the city, giving the lower edges of the print a clean, open texture.

为什么选Sérres
一张有意义的地图
Sérres is home for many Greeks who have studied or worked in Thessaloniki or abroad, and a map of the city holds that attachment in precise lines. It also suits anyone who has climbed to the Koulas and looked back over the plain.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised with a name, a date or a dedication. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, and download 300 DPI files in six sizes or order a printed poster.
