关于地图
Sironj Map Poster & Print
Sironj is a town in Vidisha district, Madhya Pradesh, on the northern edge of the Malwa plateau. It has a long history as a trading stop on routes across central India, and for much of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries it was a detached part of the princely state of Tonk, governed from Rajputana far away.
On the map, the old town shows the marks of that age: a compact and irregular network of lanes and small blocks, with open spaces left by older structures and water tanks. Newer neighbourhoods and roads extend outward, and the surrounding plateau is divided into farmland, with low rises and seasonal streams.
A Sironj map poster captures the contrast between the densely woven historic core and the calmer lines of the countryside around it. The roads to Vidisha, Guna and other towns spread out from the centre, and fields fill the rest of the page. It is a map of a place whose importance was once much greater than its size.

Water tanks
Tanks and ponds in and around the town form open shapes within the dense fabric, visible even at small print sizes.
Plateau roads
Roads run out across the Malwa farmland toward neighbouring towns, giving the map long lines that reach the edge of the frame.
