Sreekaryam is a suburb on the north-eastern side of Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala. Like much of the city, it spreads over low, rolling laterite hills, and the roads follow the ground rather than a plan. On a map the result is a web of winding lanes, junctions and small side roads, with houses set among coconut palms and garden plots.
The area is known for its institutions. The College of Engineering Trivandrum has its campus here, and the Central Tuber Crops Research Institute occupies grounds nearby. Both appear as larger open blocks with internal roads, giving the map a few calm, spacious areas among the dense residential streets. A busy junction ties the neighbourhood into the city's main roads.
