关于地图
Starogard Gdański Map Poster & Print
Starogard Gdański lies in Pomerania, south of Gdańsk, on the Wierzyca river. It is considered the main town of Kociewie, a region with its own dialect and traditions. From above, the old town is a compact oval of streets around a market square, with the river valley running nearby and newer districts spreading outward.
The town has medieval origins, and parts of its defensive walls and towers survive around the historic core. Today it is also known as the home of Polpharma, one of Poland's large pharmaceutical companies, whose industrial site is part of the modern town.
A Starogard Gdański map poster shows the change in scale from the dense old centre to the larger blocks of later housing and industry. The river valley gives the edges a softer line, and the roads leading towards Gdańsk and other towns fan out from the middle.

Wierzyca valley
The river and its green valley run near the centre, a winding natural line that breaks up the built-up area on the map.
Radiating roads
Main roads leave the centre in several directions, linking Starogard with Gdańsk and nearby Kociewie towns and giving the print a clear star-like structure.
