River confluence
The Volyňka joins the Otava right beside the historic centre, forming a clear Y of water in the middle of the map. Almost every street and bridge in town relates to it.

关于地图
Strakonice Map Poster & Print
Strakonice grew at the confluence of the Otava and the Volyňka in South Bohemia, and the rivers still organise the town. On a map the two waterways converge in a clear Y shape. The castle stands on the ground near their meeting point, the historic centre lies just beside it, and later districts spread across both banks, linked by several bridges.
The castle was long associated with the Knights of the Order of St John, and its round tower, known as Rumpál, is a local landmark. The town is also known for industry, notably the ČZ works, historically famous for motorcycles, and for fez production. It hosts an international bagpipe festival that reflects the strong piping tradition of the region.
A Strakonice map poster makes the most of this river geometry. The water gives the composition a natural focus, the old core sits compactly at the junction, and the surrounding streets fan out toward housing estates and fields. It is an attractive print for anyone who studied, worked or grew up here, or who knows the Otava from paddling trips.

Castle point
Strakonice Castle occupies the land close to where the rivers meet, a compact complex that anchors the old town. On the poster it sits at the visual heart of the frame.
Industrial districts
Larger blocks of the town's factories and works sit beyond the centre, their broad footprints contrasting with the tight older streets and recalling Strakonice's long manufacturing tradition.
